Americo Edwardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Otsando, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. ASTRONOTUS's Americo Edwardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save ASTRONOTUS from getting a goal against them. Nunez Papo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Felipillo in the 13th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Felipillo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nunez Papo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Americo Edwardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Bernat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Benito Marcones fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASTRONOTUS's protests and gave Benito Marcones a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ASTRONOTUS's Benito Marcones got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramon Ursino got free with Americo Edwardo in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 24 minutes, Jeremias Felipillo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico Empalme's Nunez Papo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute Jeremias Felipillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Papo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ASTRONOTUS's Genaro Apolloni got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 minutes, Hernan Bernat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Empalme and the ASTRONOTUS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Atletico Empalme getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Hernan Bernat hit a great ball. When ASTRONOTUS's Jeremias Felipillo in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a left leg Nunez Papo saved Club Atletico Empalme from getting behind. 39 minutes into the game, Fabian Fidencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Empalme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASTRONOTUS the free kick. Nunez Papo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Mero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Prospero Abastas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Papo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Felipillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Club Atletico Empalme's Nunez Papo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Empalme from getting a goal against them. Jeremias Felipillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nunez Papo having to make a save. Nunez Papo came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by ASTRONOTUS's Jeremias Felipillo. But to his dismay, Jeremias Felipillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Nunez Papo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Felipillo in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Adolfo Cañete managed to get in a good position for a shot. ASTRONOTUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Cañete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Papo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremias Felipillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nunez Papo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremias Felipillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeremias Felipillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Adolfo Cañete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90 played minutes Club Atletico Empalme got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Bernat. If Jeremias Felipillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ASTRONOTUS played a much better game than Club Atletico Empalme and deserved their victory. The Club Atletico Empalme players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
