Eriberto Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Boca Junior's Gogo Igon got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cabalonga's Eriberto Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Xacintu in the 30th minute of play. Rodrigo Artaldo scored 3-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Refugio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes Cabalonga got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Emmanuel. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Timoteo Mingo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eriberto Paulin firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Cabalonga:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Atlético Boca Junior:s goal. Cabalonga's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Pirmin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Refugio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Refugio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Rodolfo Pirmin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabalonga's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Pirmin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Refugio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cabalonga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
