The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Real Cohòlicos FC's Juan Matia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a defensive mix-up in Ituzaingó's zone, Valdur Liiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuxila Valdes came out of the goal and Valdur Liiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdur Liiva during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Real Cohòlicos FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Valdur Liiva hit a great ball. The supporters of Ituzaingó booed when Real Cohòlicos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdur Liiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Valdur Liiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Cohòlicos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdur Liiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuxila Valdes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The tension between the Ituzaingó and the Real Cohòlicos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ituzaingó getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Benigno Cayo hit a great ball. After the first half Real Cohòlicos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdur Liiva to strike the kick off in the second half. If Slavey Gúnev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ituzaingó's Fábio Gomar got a free kick in the 56th minute. Valdur Liiva succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 57th playminute. During the 60th minute of the match Benigno Cayo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benigno Cayo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 60 played minutes Ituzaingó got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Cayo. 66 minutes into the match, Real Cohòlicos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Guifre came free, but Vladimiro Canor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Cohòlicos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
