Cosme Ermano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Ibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Nereo Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Ermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dionisio Cisco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Gaizkine in the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Zeledon Gaizkine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godoy Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Gaizkine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CBR Argentina SC's Dionisio Cisco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save CBR Argentina SC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to CBR Argentina SC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Erasmo Ugutz hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Feliberto Benet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cosme Ermano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cosme Ermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Ibar in the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Higinio Onofre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godoy Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Onofre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionisio Cisco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Higinio Onofre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cosme Ermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Ibar in the 34th minute of the match. Higinio Onofre scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionisio Cisco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Haroldo Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute of the match, Zeledon Gaizkine tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dionisio Cisco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zeledon Gaizkine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zeledon Gaizkine made the kick off in the second half. Zeledon Gaizkine struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dionisio Cisco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godoy Cruz. Zeledon Gaizkine took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dionisio Cisco. Dionisio Cisco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Benet in the 61st minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Cosme Ermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Iratze might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dionisio Cisco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anastasio Iratze ran back to his position shaking his head. CBR Argentina SC's Dionisio Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Gaizkine in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz's Higinio Onofre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionisio Cisco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dionisio Cisco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Gaizkine, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. German Unax hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, Zeledon Gaizkine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Godoy Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.
