Spectators: 7214 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Wessex's Albano Salomon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Albano Salomon made a precise shot to the right of Ceferino Uhin. Trinchera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Eriberto Urdaspal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Micael, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute Cristian Cresconio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Uhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Urdaspal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Pepillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes in the game, Cristian Cresconio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ceferino Uhin having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Trinchera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silverio Micael to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laureano Pepillo to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Trinchera's Laureano Pepillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eriberto Urdaspal. That made the score 1-1 after 52 minutes of play. Laureano Pepillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eriberto Urdaspal came out and tried to block the shot, but Laureano Pepillo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 61st minute. When Laureano Pepillo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Trinchera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Pepillo couldn't finish the play. Silverio Micael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 minutes, Jesus Lesardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trinchera and the Wessex players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Trinchera got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Lesardo. Eriberto Urdaspal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Pepillo in the 85th minute of play. Wessex's Carlos Yaque quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jesus Lesardo, made in the 89th minute of the game. Silverio Micael took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Urdaspal. Eriberto Urdaspal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.
