Benedicto Selatse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Mero having to interfere. The supporters of matu booed when Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Maureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ballester FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Constantino Gaitano hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, matu's Rafael Perez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felipe Mero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Rafael Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. matu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Ballester FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jonathan Criston fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Felipe Mero made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Benedicto Selatse sent off a good shot on target. matu's Artemio Jaizki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Gaitano in the 28th minute of play. Orlando Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Generoso Chayo in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artemio Jaizki saved matu from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Gaitano in the 41st minute of play forced matu's goalkeeper Artemio Jaizki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind matu's goalkeeper Artemio Jaizki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Benjamin Bixintxo fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored matu's protests and gave Benjamin Bixintxo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, matu's Benjamin Bixintxo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Artemio Jaizki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Gaitano in the 47th minute of play.

Generoso Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to matu getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Flavio Bortzaioriz hit a great ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Siro Edur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballester FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Edur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benedicto Selatse kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Generoso Chayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Artemio Jaizki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Mero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 83rd match minute, Ballester FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Piarres to maneuver through the defense. Ballester FC's Felipe Mero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Perez in the 85th minute of play. Rafael Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Mero having to interfere. Rafael Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ballester FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for matu.
