But to his dismay, Faustino Orzaize quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. matu's Artemio Jaizki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Papo in the 28th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Enrique Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match Silverio Poncio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artemio Jaizki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Bixintxo during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Velloso F.C. booed when matu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Bixintxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Velloso F.C.'s Hermengildo Papo got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rafael Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Velloso F.C. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Silverio Poncio hit a great ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Faustino Orzaize who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but matu's Artemio Jaizki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Enrique Guzman notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of matu's Artemio Jaizki. Artemio Jaizki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ermegildo Ortle charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ermegildo Ortle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Velloso F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Ortle to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Jaizki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Orzaize, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Hermengildo Papo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velloso F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Orzaize in the 88th minute of play forced matu's goalkeeper Artemio Jaizki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velloso F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
