The referee ignored Cuchilla FC's protests and gave Honorato Jurdan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, one of Cuchilla FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cuchilla FC. Baldomiro Markel had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Ciriaco Indar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Feliberto Dayam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Re Loco booed when Cuchilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Pelayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cuchilla FC's Baldomiro Markel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Cuchilla FC from getting a goal against them. Blas Garaile hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Feliberto Dayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciriaco Indar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Markel having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Cuchilla FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baldomero Pabla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The goalkeeper, Baldomiro Markel, was totally fooled by Re Loco's Ciriaco Indar, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 43 played minutes Cuchilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Pelayo. With a little luck, Cuchilla FC's Baldomiro Markel got control of the ball when Ciriaco Indar tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Blas Garaile charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Garaile the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cuchilla FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play.
