If Elvio Domeka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Juventud Unida universito's Bernabe Ondino got control of the ball when Elias Berriotxoa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zacarias Bakar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Ondino having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zacarias Bakar during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pipinas AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Zacarias Bakar hit a great ball. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pipinas AFC's goalkeeper Cristobal Roano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pipinas AFC's Cristobal Roano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Acuña in the 33rd minute of play. Elvio Domeka received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernabe Ondino came out and tried to block the shot, but Elvio Domeka slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guaberto Bernaldo to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guaberto Bernaldo in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Roano saved Pipinas AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Pipinas AFC's Elias Berriotxoa got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Nereo Peli struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Cristobal Roano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventud Unida universito. In the 57th minute Guaberto Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Roano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Ondino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Domeka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Roano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Acuña in the 63rd minute of play.
