Santo Chayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Enol in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Arenales FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Felipe Oliviero hit a great ball. David Enol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victoriano Aragones took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santo Chayo. Santo Chayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With his leg Santo Chayo managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Arenales FC's Victoriano Aragones fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 39 minutes into the match, FIORENTINA's goalkeeper Santo Chayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Enol. David Enol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Chayo having to interfere. Felipe Oliviero's late challenge caught a FIORENTINA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Oliviero helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in FIORENTINA's zone, David Enol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Chayo came out of the goal and David Enol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Aragones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Santo Chayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elvio Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. Victoriano Aragones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santo Chayo having to make a save. Victoriano Aragones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Santo Chayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute Victoriano Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FIORENTINA's Ariel Columbo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, David Enol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arenales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Enol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Chayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th of the match, Elvio Torres tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jacobo Paio got in the way and made a wonderful save. Victoriano Aragones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Chayo having to interfere. In the 82nd minute David Enol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victoriano Aragones came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Arenales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Aragones couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, FIORENTINA's goal looked a bit too open when David Enol came free, but Santo Chayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
