Conrado Lauro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Breogan. Lazzarino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Lazzarino booed when Los Angeles Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Pierres in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paolo Sidro saved Los Angeles Galaxy from getting behind. 24 minutes into the game, Benjamin Bilbo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ivan Breogan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roman Pierres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Uriel Balasi struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ivan Breogan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Angeles Galaxy. Alfonso Stanislao kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute Uriel Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Breogan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Casimiro Chale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Los Angeles Galaxy defense, Rodolfo Lucero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paolo Sidro. The Los Angeles Galaxy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paolo Sidro should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute Benjamin Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Breogan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Pierres in the 84th minute of play forced Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Paolo Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lazzarino's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
