The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Natalio Uhin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Madryn FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Gelo the free kick. Ivan Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Abelardo Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Uhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Cordeara hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Natalio Uhin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 12 minutes had been played. After 12 played minutes Madryn FC got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Uhin. After having played for 22 minutes, Victoriano Bembe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madryn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Bembe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 played minutes Borussia Gelo got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Caton. Godofredo Batista made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Madryn FC's Fermin Kelemen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Arlo during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Borussia Gelo getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Joel Arlo hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the game, Godofredo Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Gelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Madryn FC the free kick. Godofredo Batista hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Zlatan Zababurin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Presebal having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleuterio Caradaro made a kick off. In the 59th match minute, Borussia Gelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Cordeara to maneuver through the defense. Victoriano Bembe's late challenge caught a Borussia Gelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Bembe helped the player get up and apologised. Victoriano Bembe hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Zlatan Zababurin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Madryn FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Madryn FC's Filomeno Perez got a free kick in the 65th minute. Victoriano Bembe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Presebal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Zlatan Zababurin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Borussia Gelo booed when Madryn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Bembe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Madryn FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Borussia Gelo to leave the ground with a draw.
