A C La Chola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilano Belasko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillermo Nahia came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by BOCA JSL's Gabriel Oinatz. But to his dismay, Gabriel Oinatz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Flavio Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gabriel Oinatz came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the BOCA JSL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Oinatz couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as BOCA JSL's Flavio Michael slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guillermo Nahia. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. With 31 minutes on the clock, Javier Celipe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Manuel Perutxo had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Horacio Rio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Flavio Michael came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the BOCA JSL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Michael couldn't finish the play. Flavio Michael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Nahia having to interfere. Flavio Michael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Guillermo Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Flavio Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Nahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Michael in the 48th minute of play.

In the 55th minute, Gabriel Oinatz made a precise shot to the right of Guillermo Nahia. A C La Chola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 60th minute, Eliseo Tiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Atilano Belasko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A C La Chola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BOCA JSL the free kick. In the 64th minute, Ladislao Jurgi had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Atilano Belasko got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. BOCA JSL made a substitution. Lino Gonzales replaced Ladislao Jurgi. In the 66th match minute, A C La Chola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Belasko to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Oinatz in the 68th minute of play forced A C La Chola's goalkeeper Guillermo Nahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BOCA JSL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bonifacio Gonzales in the 69th minute.
