After a defensive mix-up in BOCA JSL's zone, Norberto Sandaili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Perutxo came out of the goal and Norberto Sandaili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Perutxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Janpier in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Domingo Luzaide made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Perutxo. BOCA JSL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 32nd minute, BOCA JSL's Gabriel Oinatz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Jurgi in the 37th minute of play forced Salsipuedes's goalkeeper Jurand Nocny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salsipuedes's Jurand Nocny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Michael in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salsipuedes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ladislao Jurgi was slow to take the kick. During this time BOCA JSL's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Oinatz got free with Jurand Nocny in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Oinatz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Jurand Nocny made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

55 minutes into the match, Ladislao Jurgi notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Salsipuedes's Jurand Nocny. Jurand Nocny was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ladislao Jurgi came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the BOCA JSL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Jurgi couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, BOCA JSL's Manuel Perutxo got control of the ball when Blas Janpier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of BOCA JSL booed when Salsipuedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, BOCA JSL's Ladislao Jurgi tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Salsipuedes's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Sazon came free, but Jurand Nocny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jurand Nocny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Manni in the 67th minute of play. When Gabriel Oinatz came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the BOCA JSL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Oinatz couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the game, Javier Celipe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOCA JSL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salsipuedes the free kick. In the 74th minute, Javier Celipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match, Domingo Luzaide sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Manuel Perutxo showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. In the 87th minute Gabriel Oinatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurand Nocny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes, Domingo Luzaide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salsipuedes and the BOCA JSL players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Salsipuedes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Luzaide to maneuver through the defense. Salsipuedes's Jurand Nocny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Oinatz in the 91st minute of play.
