Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vinicio Pancho kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Club Atletico Tucuman booed when Aberastain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Tucuman's Candido Dimo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eloy Galindo struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Dario Ramirez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Tucuman. Teobaldo Grabiel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Aurelio Gilabert made a huge save. Vinicio Pancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Aurelio Gilabert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Genaro Ermengol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aberastain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Teobaldo Grabiel scored 3-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Gilabert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Genaro Ermengol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aurelio Gilabert. Genaro Ermengol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Genaro Ermengol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Gilabert having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Tucuman's goalkeeper Aurelio Gilabert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teobaldo Grabiel. Francisco Pello's late challenge caught a Aberastain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Pello helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Tucuman's Francisco Pello got a free kick in the 44th minute. Aurelio Gilabert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Cristofor in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eloy Galindo was the one to do the kick off. Teobaldo Grabiel might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Gilabert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Grabiel ran back to his position shaking his head. Dario Ramirez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Galindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Vinicio Pancho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Gilabert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Genaro Ermengol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Gilabert. Club Atletico Tucuman's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Genaro Ermengol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Aurelio Gilabert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teobaldo Grabiel went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 72 played minutes Club Atletico Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Pello. Aurelio Gilabert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Ermengol in the 73rd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Galindo couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Candido Dimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aberastain had won after a very even match.
