Cipriano Artaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Abeitia in the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Dorel Vişoiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maximino Gartzen, 1-1. Dorel Vişoiu took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Gartzen. Maximino Gartzen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to Deportivo Fortunato getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dorel Vişoiu hit a great ball. Maximino Gartzen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Vişoiu in the 33rd minute of play. Deportivo Fortunato's Cipriano Artaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Abeitia in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Inocencio Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Artaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorel Vişoiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Artaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Abeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Deportivo Fortunato's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Empalme FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Fortunato's Dorel Vişoiu got a free kick in the 60th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Empalme FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Deportivo Fortunato.
