Gonzalo Chaime charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Chaime the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute of the match, Emanuel Azibar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iker Cordarin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sepultura AFC's Ladislao Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Foro in the 45th minute of play. After 45 minutes, Lucas Foro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Boca Juniors and the Sepultura AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucas Foro kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Iker Cordarin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celestino Errando went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Foro to strike the kick off in the second half. Iker Cordarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Azibar in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56thth minute of the game Lucas Foro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sepultura AFC's Ladislao Calvino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Claudio Aimar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ladislao Calvino, passed just outside the right post. In the 64th minute, C. A. Boca Juniors's Efrain Steven seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Efrain Steven the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of C. A. Boca Juniors protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Efrain Steven had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Efrain Steven kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Severiano Maties recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Simon Lain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. Ladislao Calvino made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Claudio Aimar sent off a good shot on target. C. A. Boca Juniors's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
