Lucas Foro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mickey Elmue who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Iker Cordarin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Samuel Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Aimar in the 18th minute of the match. Rosario Central's Samuel Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Foro in the 24th minute of play. Claudio Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Llorienzo having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Simon Lain in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rosario Central's Dante Tiso. If Ceferino Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Ibon hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Iker Cordarin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mickey Elmue in the 40th minute. Rosario Central's Samuel Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Foro in the 41st minute of play. Mickey Elmue succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1.

The wind increased when Lucas Foro made the kick off in the second half. Claudio Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Samuel Llorienzo made a huge save. Iker Cordarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Elmue in the 82nd minute of play. Claudio Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Samuel Llorienzo made a huge save. Dante Tiso hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Rosario Central were the better team. Rosario Central's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
