With a little luck, Viale AFC's Ubaldo Umbruso got control of the ball when Nunez Chico tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Viale AFC booed when Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Dolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Evaristo Iraido dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ubaldo Umbruso, 1-0. Nunez Chico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Umbruso made a huge save. Ubaldo Umbruso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Iraido went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Tucumán's Cornelio Pierres managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eustacio Estevez in the 25 minute of the game. A collision led to Tucumán getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Matt McRobie hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Celso Romero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patricio Jatsu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evaristo Iraido struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ubaldo Umbruso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucumán. Ubaldo Umbruso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nunez Chico in the 37th minute. Ubaldo Umbruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Dolfo in the 38th minute of the match. Viale AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tucumán the free kick. After 42 played minutes Viale AFC got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Eneto. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Nunez Chico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Evaristo Iraido came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Tucumán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Iraido couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Iraido struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Ubaldo Umbruso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucumán. Ubaldo Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Ritchie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nunez Chico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ubaldo Umbruso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Eneto got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Danilo Eneto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Eliseo Dolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tucumán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Dolfo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tucumán's attentive Cornelio Pierres managed to snatch the ball when Eustacio Estevez made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Evaristo Iraido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Israel Chumo made a precise shot to the right of Ubaldo Umbruso. Viale AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Ubaldo Umbruso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Iraido, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the Viale AFC defense, Evaristo Iraido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ubaldo Umbruso. The Viale AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ubaldo Umbruso should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Nunez Chico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tucumán's supporters rose to their feet, but Nunez Chico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Umbruso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Tucumán players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
