The Merceditas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Juan Cresencio's late challenge caught a Merceditas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Cesaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Marino in the 18th minute of play. Dante Gonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Ekialde having to interfere. Eustacio Ekialde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ovidio Mendiko went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ovidio Mendiko's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Eustacio Ekialde skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ovidio Mendiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes, Lucas Casado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merceditas and the Aguante Matador players grew even worse after the yellow card. 53 minutes into the match, Aguante Matador's goalkeeper Felix Cesaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Gombal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Mendiko in the 54th minute of play forced Merceditas's goalkeeper Eustacio Ekialde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Mendiko in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Ekialde saved Merceditas from getting behind. After 61 played minutes Aguante Matador got a freekick which was hit by Mario Azibar. After a defensive mix-up in Merceditas's zone, Ovidio Mendiko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustacio Ekialde came out of the goal and Ovidio Mendiko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th match minute, Merceditas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Cordareo to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Aguante Matador's Mario Azibar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 73 minutes into the game, Nereo Cordareo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merceditas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguante Matador the free kick. After 73 played minutes Merceditas got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Cordareo. If Ovidio Mendiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolek Piechna kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. If Diego Gombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Cesaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Marino in the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Ovidio Mendiko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguante Matador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Mendiko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Aguante Matador's goalkeeper Felix Cesaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Gombal. Artemio Marino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Cesaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
