Spectators: 7005 (Terracing: 5405, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) la gringoneta's Fernando Varela started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilberto Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Cefero in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, la gringoneta's Fernando Varela got a free kick in the 10th minute. Norberto Irrintzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Varela went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Máté Madarász received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norberto Irrintzi came out and tried to block the shot, but Máté Madarász slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Vintila Contra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo el Yeyu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave la gringoneta the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo el Yeyu getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Vintila Contra hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Norberto Irrintzi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Deportivo el Yeyu defense, Fernando Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto Irrintzi. The Deportivo el Yeyu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto Irrintzi should have stopped the shot. If Melquiades Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Varela hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Melquiades Cefero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gilberto Cerilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Cefero made a kick off. The supporters of Deportivo el Yeyu booed when la gringoneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Cerilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Cefero, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Melquiades Cefero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norberto Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Varela in the 59th minute of play. Norberto Irrintzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fermin Elija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo el Yeyu's Melquiades Cefero got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Deportivo el Yeyu's Vintila Contra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vintila Contra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo el Yeyu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vintila Contra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo el Yeyu! Norberto Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Varela in the 88th minute of play. Fernando Varela hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo el Yeyu's Fermin Elija slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilberto Cerilo. That made the score 4-1 after 93 minutes of play. Deportivo el Yeyu's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
