Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 142) river plate's Cipriano Gonsalve started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Cebo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Gonsalve in the 3rd minute of the match. After 7 played minutes Cobo FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Ubelteso. 10 minutes into the match, Cipriano Gonsalve dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristian Cebo, 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Jonathan Ubelteso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eriberto Lluis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 27 minutes, Eduardo Gorbea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cobo FC and the river plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Prospero Modestio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Jonathan Ubelteso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Lluis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cobo FC's Jorge Reno got a free kick in the 41st minute. Jonathan Ubelteso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Eduardo Gorbea made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in river plate's zone, Eduardo Gorbea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Lluis came out of the goal and Eduardo Gorbea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. river plate's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jonathan Ubelteso 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. If Jonathan Ubelteso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Cebo came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by river plate's Arnoldo Weather. But to his dismay, Arnoldo Weather quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Gonsalve in the 69th minute of play forced Cobo FC's goalkeeper Cristian Cebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, river plate's goalkeeper Eriberto Lluis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Gorbea. After 81 minutes of play, river plate's Arnoldo Weather made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Cebo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ubelteso hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Adrian Benda kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cobo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for river plate.
