Cristo Cayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuba Libre FC. After 8 minutes, Fausto Ferdinand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuba Libre FC and the Tatay players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the match, Tatay's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Ferdinand came free, but Cristo Cayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Ferdinand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Basílio Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Tatay's Rosendo Gregory got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Rosendo Gregory hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristo Cayo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Baptista in the 38th minute. The supporters of Cuba Libre FC booed when Tatay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Noe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Basílio Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Cristo Cayo. Tatay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Fausto Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Cayo having to interfere.

The wind increased when Arvid Mager made the kick off in the second half. Cristo Cayo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Ferdinand went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Tatay getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rosendo Gregory hit a great ball. Cuba Libre FC's Claudio Otoniel was substituted for Basílio Baptista. Cuba Libre FC's Samuel Duarte was substituted for Bernardino Rufo. Bruno Noe kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Claudio Otoniel sped through Tatay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristo Cayo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Ferdinand in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Cayo saved Tatay from getting behind. The Cuba Libre FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Cuba Libre FC's Fausto Ferdinand looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Ferdinand in the 84th minute of play forced Tatay's goalkeeper Cristo Cayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Claudio Otoniel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristo Cayo was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Fausto Ferdinand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristo Cayo. Tatay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Ferdinand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Claudio Otoniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudio Otoniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
