Spectators: 7085 (Terracing: 5327, Seating: 1633, VIP seats: 125) Ayacucho's Faustino Baldovino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Haroldo Bihar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcelo Celipe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Faustino Baldovino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ayacucho booed when Goya FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Dolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustino Baldovino took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Mino. Antonio Mino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marcelo Celipe came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Goya FC's Memnun Uca. But to his dismay, Memnun Uca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Memnun Uca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Marcelo Celipe made a huge save. Antonio Mino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Leizarraga in the 39th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Ayacucho's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Dolfo came free, but Marcelo Celipe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Ayacucho's Arturo Roldanillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Mino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Memnun Uca made a kick off. Antonio Mino made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Marcelino Leizarraga sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Celipe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Bihar in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Memnun Uca made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Celipe. Ayacucho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Augusto Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Marcelo Celipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Memnun Uca in the 78th minute of play forced Ayacucho's goalkeeper Marcelo Celipe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Antonio Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Faustino Baldovino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Conrado Hanot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ayacucho getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Marcelino Leizarraga hit a great ball. The Ayacucho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ayacucho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
