If Ernesto Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Córdoba FC's Carolo Chago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Córdoba FC from getting a goal against them. Ernesto Mingo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Carlos Manilan came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the wuilbur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Manilan couldn't finish the play. 1-1 became the score in the 36th minute when Nicolas Gonsalvo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Ernesto Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. wuilbur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Mingo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Mingo got free with Carolo Chago in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Manilan was the one to do the kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Mingo scored 2-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carolo Chago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. wuilbur fully deserved thier win.
