The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Esteve Galsino took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nicanor Bartoli to make any attempt to save it. Gabriel Eguntsenti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Lorenzo Policarpio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Temper defense, Igor Mitxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo Policarpio. The Temper fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo Policarpio should have stopped the shot. Gabriel Eguntsenti scored 1-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Policarpio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 34 minutes, Igor Mitxel made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Temper's Lorenzo Policarpio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Igor Mitxel came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Unión y Progreso Tandil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Mitxel couldn't finish the play. Fidel Viviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Policarpio having to interfere. Igor Mitxel didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-9 via right post in the game's 73rd minute. Unión y Progreso Tandil's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! If Rafael Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Policarpio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Igor Mitxel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-11 in the 84 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Mitxel in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Policarpio saved Temper from getting behind. Igor Mitxel took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lorenzo Policarpio. Lorenzo Policarpio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-12. Igor Mitxel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Lorenzo Policarpio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the final whistle sounded Unión y Progreso Tandil left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Temper.
