After a rather tough play, Sportivo Quiñihual's Lucio Mannuel got a free kick in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Sportivo Quiñihual's Robustiano Aires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Urtats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Quiñihual's zone, Tiburcio Walme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Xacintu came out of the goal and Tiburcio Walme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Domeka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Xacintu having to interfere. In the 28th minute Guido Jurgi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Israel Ubendu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes, Sportivo Quiñihual's Andres Papo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvio Urtats came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sportivo Quiñihual reached it. Arturo Domeka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Zeledon Xacintu made a huge save. During the 35th minute of the match Lucio Mannuel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lucio Mannuel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sportivo Quiñihual! In the 42nd minute, Arturo Domeka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiburcio Walme struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Zeledon Xacintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Sportivo Quiñihual's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arturo Domeka fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

If Tiburcio Walme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The supporters of volvio la naranja mecanic booed when Sportivo Quiñihual was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 68th minute Saul Muc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Xacintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arturo Domeka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Domeka got in the 74th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Zeledon Xacintu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Arturo Domeka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sportivo Quiñihual's Zeledon Xacintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Walme in the 83rd minute of play. Zeledon Xacintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Domeka in the 84th minute of the match. Tiburcio Walme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that volvio la naranja mecanic were the better team. volvio la naranja mecanic's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
