The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gonzalo Nofre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Demario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Chap in the 39th minute of play forced Victoria FC's goalkeeper Zeledon Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Romildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gonzalo Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Te Falta Chispa got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Mouricio. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. With a little luck, Te Falta Chispa's Gonzalo Nofre got control of the ball when Emílio Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emílio Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Nofre having to interfere. Victoria FC's Emílio Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenio Mouricio's late challenge caught a Victoria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arsenio Mouricio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Arsenio Mouricio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Victoria FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Te Falta Chispa.
