When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Vladimiro Hermon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Albino Donio to make any attempt to save it. Bótólfur Bjarmason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inocencio Firmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Hernan Semeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. fe de racing's Albino Donio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Jon in the 31st minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristobal Indar to make the kick off. When the match had been going on for 100 minutes, fe de racing's Faustino Bilintx got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Inocencio Firmo. When the referee ended the match the Lima players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
