The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Angelo Ubelteso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Elias Castel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lautaro Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Anibal Dayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hipolito Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Malena FC's Elias Castel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Malena FC from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Anibal Dayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Malena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Celino to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Malena FC's Elias Castel got control of the ball when Cai Wei Cheng tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Malena FC's goalkeeper Elias Castel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgílio Pombal. If Cai Wei Cheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Lanus FC's Godofredo Aurre ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elias Castel. Elias Castel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Aurre got free with Elias Castel in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 42 minutes of play, Lanus FC's Virgílio Pombal made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Castel was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgílio Pombal was the one to do the kick off. Virgílio Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute Virgílio Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Castel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Virgílio Pombal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Castel was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 60 minutes into the match, Virgílio Pombal notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Malena FC's Elias Castel. Elias Castel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Virgilio Rey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute of the match Cai Wei Cheng sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elias Castel skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Lanus FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Segundo Dubardo hit a great ball. Ceferino Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Elias Castel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Pombal in the 76th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Malena FC got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Sarracino. After 81 minutes, Virgílio Pombal made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Malena FC's Elias Castel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Malena FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Romulo Celino hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Malena FC's zone, Cai Wei Cheng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Castel came out of the goal and Cai Wei Cheng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elias Castel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Pombal's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Lanus FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
