PIRATAS FOR EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Raphael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Oto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, one of Caranchos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caranchos. Dionisio Natanael kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Cipriano Etxepare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Lucado's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Lucado in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Etxepare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fausto Lucado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cipriano Etxepare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Carolo Fliz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caranchos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Lucado was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gabriel Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caranchos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Marin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Etxepare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carolo Fliz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Etxepare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. When Adrian Iturri fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caranchos's protests and gave Adrian Iturri a yellow card for diving instead. Adrian Iturri kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, PIRATAS FOR EVER's Cipriano Etxepare got control of the ball when Fausto Lucado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 99 played minutes, PIRATAS FOR EVER's Arsenio Blanco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adriana Iaki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PIRATAS FOR EVER reached it. The PIRATAS FOR EVER fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caranchos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
