Rosario Central's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severo Cordeal in the 22nd minute. Abelardo Florin hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Dionisio Manex made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Guib in the 25th minute. Rosario Central's attentive Alfredo Bakar managed to snatch the ball when Enzo Viviano made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. In the 28th minute Emilio Guib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Manex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Emilio Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severo Cordeal might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dionisio Manex. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severo Cordeal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32ndth minute of the game Emilio Guib who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Dionisio Manex was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Rafael Ugaitz got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Rolado in the 40th minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Teodoro Baumar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes of play, Independiente's Rafael Ugaitz made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Baumar was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Rolado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severo Cordeal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emilio Guib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dionisio Manex tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nereo Lano hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Emilio Guib got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melchor Teodor during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Melchor Teodor hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the game, Severo Cordeal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Dionisio Manex was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 72 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Teodor. Severo Cordeal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Manex read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Rosario Central getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Camilo Oinaz hit a great ball. Manuel Rolado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dionisio Manex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Bakar in the 81st minute of play. Independiente's Dionisio Manex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Guib in the 86th minute of play. Herminio Favila kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Cecilio Iliana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Severo Cordeal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Severo Cordeal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionisio Manex breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
