Independiente booed when Caracara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Nevada didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Caracara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Abad came free, but Romulo Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Mano in the 13th minute of play forced Caracara AFC's goalkeeper Romulo Precioso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Abad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ubaldo Oinaz scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Gilabert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Abad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Precioso having to interfere. Fernando Gilabert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Oinaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Jaime Efraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Romulo Precioso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Mano in the 31st minute of play forced Caracara AFC's goalkeeper Romulo Precioso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caracara AFC's Ubaldo Oinaz got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Edgardo Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Goiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romulo Precioso having to make a save. After having played for 41 minutes, Jaime Efraim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Efraim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Jaime Efraim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Romulo Precioso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Abad was the one to do the kick off. Benito Goiz hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Jaime Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Caracara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Mano came free, but Romulo Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Arce struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Romulo Precioso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Independiente. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Arce got free with Romulo Precioso in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Abad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Precioso having to interfere. Edgardo Mano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 minutes, Serafino Nevada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caracara AFC and the C. A. Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Caracara AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Serafino Nevada hit a great ball. C. A. Independiente's Jaime Efraim got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romulo Precioso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Abad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Caracara AFC defense, Benito Goiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romulo Precioso. The Caracara AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romulo Precioso should have stopped the shot. Jaime Efraim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Romulo Precioso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Romulo Precioso made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Angelo Abad sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Edgardo Mano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelo Abad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Precioso having to interfere. In the 95th minute, C. A. Independiente's Benito Goiz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4.
