In the 15thth minute of the game Jeronimo Evis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Vela Puerca's Reynaldo Berenguer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eloy Inge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 22 played minutes Larsen got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Charro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Evis in the 24th minute of play forced La Vela Puerca's goalkeeper Reynaldo Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Jacobo Jakue made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Berenguer. La Vela Puerca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, La Vela Puerca's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Jakue came free, but Reynaldo Berenguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloy Inge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulises Eufemio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marciano Umea in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes Larsen got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Puric. Jeronimo Evis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Reynaldo Berenguer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeronimo Evis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacobo Jakue got free with Reynaldo Berenguer in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Larsen's Ulises Eufemio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Fonso in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Zacarias Montez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Vela Puerca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Larsen the free kick. In the 83rd minute Eloy Inge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Berenguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Inge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Berenguer having to interfere. Manuel Larra hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
