An unexpectedly hard shot by Vernon Winterburn in the 35th minute of play forced XENEISE FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Santiago Eduino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Eduino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomero Inguma went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Eugenio Pedroso took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santiago Eduino. Santiago Eduino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind XENEISE FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Santiago Eduino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Vernon Winterburn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fuerte Fortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. In the 92nd play minute Baldomero Inguma came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Santiago Eduino. 0-8. The attack was good, but when Vernon Winterburn in the 96th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
