The Salavina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernan Ortzi during the 13th minute. Roberto Gabirel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Eguntsenti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Padilla's attentive Generoso Oliverios managed to snatch the ball when Jonatan Gitano made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Patricio Sugar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Astudillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Padilla booed when Salavina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Eguntsenti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Quinten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celedonio Astudillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patricio Sugar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roberto Gabirel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. 68 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Eguntsenti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Gabirel. Padilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Eguntsenti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Fernan Ortzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Padilla defense, Ubaldo Eguntsenti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Gabirel. The Padilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Gabirel should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Salavina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
