Eugenio Tello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Ignazio during the 15th minute. Padilla's Gavino Quinten got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Santos Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugenio Tello was a little too slow when Santos Fonso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 98th minute, Santos Fonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
