In the 3rd minute, Jesus Gizon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Gizon in the 9th minute of play forced Social Lastenia's goalkeeper Severino Txartiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Clemente Caradaro could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Carmelo Honesto however easily saved by the left post. Clemente Caradaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Desiderio Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Honesto having to interfere. The supporters of Pavón booed when Social Lastenia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Karlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Honesto made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Orlando Cordaro sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, Aldo Karlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Pavón's Segundo Florian broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Orlando Cordaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmelo Honesto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Cordaro ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jesus Gizon to make the kick off. Severino Txartiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Johans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Cordaro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Clemente Caradaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pavón's Carmelo Honesto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Clemente Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Social Lastenia's Martin Federigo got a free kick in the 64th minute. Carmelo Honesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Guerrero in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Florian got free with Severino Txartiko in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 71 minutes, Orlando Cordaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Social Lastenia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Cordaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 minutes, Martin Federigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Social Lastenia and the Pavón players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Federigo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jesus Gizon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Severino Txartiko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 played minutes, Social Lastenia's Roberto Duardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carmelo Honesto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Social Lastenia reached it. Desiderio Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Angelino Oxel came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Pavón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelino Oxel couldn't finish the play. When Martin Ilazki fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Social Lastenia's protests and gave Martin Ilazki a yellow card for diving instead. Pavón's Carmelo Honesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Otsoa in the 86th minute of play. Social Lastenia's Clemente Caradaro got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Honesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Guerrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Pavón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Quattrocchi to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Social Lastenia were the better team. Social Lastenia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
