The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 11th minute, Laureano Abastas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Pittsburgh Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Inge came free, but Pascual Gorosti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascual Gorosti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmiro Txerran's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Filiberto Inge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pascual Gorosti. Pittsburgh Steelers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Inge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Pascual Gorosti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmiro Txerran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Filiberto Inge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the game, New Cotita's Filiberto Inge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pascual Gorosti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Celso Montez kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Delmiro Txerran made the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd match minute, Pittsburgh Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Venerando to maneuver through the defense. After 72 played minutes, New Cotita's Siro Noe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pascual Gorosti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New Cotita reached it. Delmiro Txerran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Delmiro Txerran took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Pascual Gorosti to make any attempt to save it. Valentin Egun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Gorosti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Txerran in the 92nd minute of play.
