Spectators: 6638 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcos Socorro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marcos Socorro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fausto Jurgi came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcos Socorro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Blas Eudoxio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godoy Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Eudoxio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Danaos Panayiotopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Derwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Ovara's goalkeeper Fausto Jurgi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blas Eudoxio. Blas Eudoxio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Fausto Jurgi made a huge save. Marcos Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Jurgi having to interfere. Nestor Derwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Johans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute of the match Gervasio Eufrasio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nestor Derwin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Godoy Cruz's Nestor Derwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Johans in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Marcos Socorro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Fausto Jurgi to make any attempt to save it. Danaos Panayiotopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Ovara's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Socorro came free, but Fausto Jurgi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Fe kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute of the match Serafin Paz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fausto Jurgi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Blas Eudoxio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Marcos Socorro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godoy Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Socorro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Jurgi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marcos Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Danaos Panayiotopoulos made the kick off in the second half. Serafin Paz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Marcos Socorro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godoy Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Socorro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Jurgi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Eudoxio in the 55th minute of play forced Ovara's goalkeeper Fausto Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Ovara's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Socorro came free, but Fausto Jurgi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ovara getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Celso Lapurdi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Godoy Cruz's zone, Danaos Panayiotopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Derwin came out of the goal and Danaos Panayiotopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovara's Fausto Jurgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Socorro in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Godoy Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Blas Eudoxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Jurgi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Danaos Panayiotopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ovara's supporters rose to their feet, but Danaos Panayiotopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Jurgi came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Godoy Cruz's Blas Eudoxio. But to his dismay, Blas Eudoxio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 94th minute, Marcos Socorro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovara's Fausto Jurgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Eudoxio in the 96th minute of play. Godoy Cruz walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
