In the 25th minute, Norberto Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filomeno Mino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fausto Jurgi came out and tried to block the shot, but Filomeno Mino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. A collision led to Ovara getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Celso Lapurdi hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Filomeno Mino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fausto Jurgi, 3-0. The audience was convinced that Filomeno Mino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Jurgi was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 39th minute of the match, Norberto Francesco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fausto Jurgi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 41st minute, Ovara's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Norberto Francesco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Lapurdi in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicanor Moise saved meandes from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danaos Panayiotopoulos made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ovara's zone, Norberto Francesco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Jurgi came out of the goal and Norberto Francesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Jurgi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Mino, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Fausto Jurgi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Francesco in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ovara's Danaos Panayiotopoulos got a free kick in the 54th minute. Nicanor Moise made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Lapurdi in the 56th minute. Leonel Heriberto struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Nicanor Moise didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ovara. Nicanor Moise was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Celso Lapurdi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fausto Jurgi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Medero in the 93rd minute of play forced Ovara's goalkeeper Fausto Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Lapurdi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Fausto Jurgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Mino in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that meandes were the better team. meandes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
