The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horacio Rencio got free with Elpidio Mendiko in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the game, Horacio Rencio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Elpidio Mendiko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Apolo Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute.
