Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Gongan's goalkeeper Guaberto Vincente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin Lorencio. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Froila in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Vincente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, Gongan's goalkeeper Guaberto Vincente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin Lorencio. Rosendo Laurendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Everardo Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Froila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fermin Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Vincente having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gongan's goalkeeper Guaberto Vincente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Froila in the 94th managed to get into a good position.
