Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Segundo Matxin got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Segundo Matxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Micael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of C. A. INDEPENDIENTE booed when Ataliva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Inge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Abaurre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Sarracino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ataliva's zone, Jacobo Gonsalve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Abaurre came out of the goal and Jacobo Gonsalve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eulalio Micael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Matxin in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, C. A. INDEPENDIENTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Sotero to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Ilazki during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raimundo Ilazki hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Filomeno Ferrando was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the last second Eulalio Micael throw himself and got hold of the ball when Segundo Matxin in the 30thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ataliva's Amador Abaurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Sarracino in the 33rd minute of play. Eulalio Micael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Matxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's Eulalio Micael got control of the ball when Manuel Inge tried to sneak it across the goal line. Segundo Matxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Eulalio Micael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Eulalio Micael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Inge. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacobo Gonsalve to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Constantino Sarracino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amador Abaurre. Constantino Sarracino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Eulalio Micael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Inge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Micael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Inge, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. INDEPENDIENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Inge came free, but Eulalio Micael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Segundo Matxin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Micael having to interfere. Eulalio Micael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Inge in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's Valentin Sotero got a free kick in the 84th minute. Eulalio Micael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Inge in the 85th minute of play. Arnulfo Nataniel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the final whistle went the supporters of C. A. INDEPENDIENTE were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ataliva side.
