The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Katmandú's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Haritzeder came free, but Edgard Sol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Huaycama's Luis Magdaleno got control of the ball when Agustin Paez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Huaycama's Aaron Euloxu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Sol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 29th minute, Antonio Bieito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldo Salbatore got in the 30th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Luis Magdaleno. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-2. Edgard Sol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Haritzeder in the 36th minute of the match. Huaycama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Katmandú the free kick.
