Club Azteca's Victoriano Jaizki got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Truylos was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Victoriano Jaizki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victoriano Jaizki really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Pilar's Rolando Truylos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Jaizki in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Pilar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Felipillo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victoriano Jaizki in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Truylos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Truylos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Jaizki in the 16th minute of play. Rolando Truylos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Jaizki in the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Club Azteca's Pastor Ramone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Truylos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 31st minute, Victoriano Jaizki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Truylos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Desiderio Pacho charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Desiderio Pacho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victoriano Jaizki was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Truylos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Jaizki, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Albano Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Azteca's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Ralondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Truylos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Ulises Hug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Azteca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Jaizki in the 65th minute of play forced Pilar's goalkeeper Rolando Truylos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albano Ralondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victoriano Jaizki in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Truylos saved Pilar from getting behind. In the 71st minute, Pilar's Genaro Bixintxo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Genaro Bixintxo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pilar protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Genaro Bixintxo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Pilar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Azteca:s goal. Rolando Truylos went to the wrong direction when Albano Ralondo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Club Azteca fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Club Azteca's Victoriano Jaizki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 80thth minute of the game Victoriano Jaizki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pilar's Rolando Truylos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albano Ralondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Truylos having to interfere. Rolando Truylos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Jaizki, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Ciro Fonda fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilar's protests and gave Ciro Fonda a yellow card for diving instead. Rolando Truylos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Jaizki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben Veronica struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Rolando Truylos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Azteca. 91 minutes into the match, Pilar's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Jaizki came free, but Rolando Truylos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Truylos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Celino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Club Azteca were the better team. Club Azteca's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
