José Luis Chilavert came out of the goal and Ricardo Grabiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Independiente.mf's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Grabiel. YARARA's Zlatin Gusev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Ruy in the 20th minute of play. Bartosz Treppa struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Zlatin Gusev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente.mf. In the 25th minute Candido Lastur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Iigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zlatin Gusev having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Treppa in the 28th minute of play forced YARARA's goalkeeper Zlatin Gusev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Justin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Ricardo Grabiel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YARARA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Grabiel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 played minutes Independiente.mf got a freekick which was hit by David Iigo. José Luis Chilavert made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ricardo Grabiel sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Grabiels short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got José Luis Chilavert to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of YARARA booed when Independiente.mf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Salvidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
