Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The YARARA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zlatin Gusev should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute Candido Lastur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Van Halen's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Chan came free, but Julio Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Santana came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by YARARA's Fabian Justin. But to his dismay, Fabian Justin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 17 minutes into the game, YARARA's Fabian Justin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Santana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Celestino Ekialde kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Van Halen got a freekick which was hit by Mario Haritzeder. Julio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Lastur in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Van Halen getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Casimiro Jerardo hit a great ball. Julio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Justin in the 40th minute of play. Julio Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Justin in the 42nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Van Halen defense, Lázaro Chan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Santana. The Van Halen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Santana should have stopped the shot. Candido Lastur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Santana having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Van Halen's Julio Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Van Halen from getting a goal against them. After 54 played minutes Van Halen got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Jerardo. Lázaro Chan took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Santana. Julio Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Van Halen's Julio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Lastur in the 61st minute of play. Van Halen's Julio Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Van Halen from getting a goal against them. The supporters of YARARA booed when Van Halen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Jerardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Grabiel in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute Fabian Justin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, YARARA's Rigoberto Chayo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. With a little luck, Van Halen's Julio Santana got control of the ball when Lázaro Chan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Justin in the 76th minute of play. Mario Haritzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Zlatin Gusev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Van Halen's Julio Santana got control of the ball when Ricardo Grabiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Candido Lastur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Santana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Candido Lastur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 89 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pablo Mingo during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of YARARA booed when Van Halen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Mingo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
