After 14 played minutes CHACARITA got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Ponciano. Aldo Gutxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Fresco having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Melquiades Ermengol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CHACARITA and the Julio A. Roca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ovidio Fresco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Abeijon in the 19th minute of the match. Aldo Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Sein kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Natanael in the 28th minute of play forced CHACARITA's goalkeeper Ovidio Fresco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, CHACARITA's Santiago Calvet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Julio A. Roca booed when CHACARITA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Joachim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Abeijon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in CHACARITA's zone, Juan Abeijon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Fresco came out of the goal and Juan Abeijon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Julio Sein hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Roca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Sein didn't get a good kick on the ball.
