An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Cordairo in the 12th minute of play forced laloca's goalkeeper Bernardino Baleren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th match minute, laloca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Iaki to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sotelo booed when laloca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Oliveiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Lluques who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Bernardino Baleren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Ivan Lluques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardino Baleren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Cordairo in the 27th minute. If Leonel Cordairo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sotelo's Cayetano Gorka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Iaki in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Leonel Cordairo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Lluques struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Bernardino Baleren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sotelo. After a rather tough play, Sotelo's Ermegildo Firmin got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Cayetano Gorka came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by laloca's Leo Leobardo. But to his dismay, Leo Leobardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Sotelo's Ivan Lluques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardino Baleren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efrain Iaki to strike the kick off in the second half.
